My Philosophy
Ensure that every decision we make for Swing can instill our legacy for the next 100 years.

I found Swing Phi Swing when no other organization fit my philosophy on service and community as it related to the Black community. Since being a member of Swing, I have found my VOICE by actively working towards change. No one gave me a book on how to be a SWING but I observed the inner workings of our Sisterhood and found ways to bring order and structure to our processes.

I have had the opportunity to work under three past National Presidents, Tanya McKoy-Sutton, Cheryl Kornegay, and Sharon Chandler, who all gave me a chance to work on projects dealing wth 501 c3 status, Rites of Passage, and Media Affairs. I have worked on the Compliance Committee and Nominations and Recognition. Each opportunity gave me a chance to work with women who have given their blood, sweat, and tears to keep this organization alive.

We can't afford to focus on distractions when there is work to be done. The living legacy of our Sister Founders depends on us to work together to do the following:
- Focus on solutions to bring order to our house to make us a better and professional non-profit organization
- Commitment to service that is meaningful, consistent, and relevant to the rods of our foundation
- Establish and nurture partnerships and viable opportunities for funding and sustainability
- Extend the SWING brand to local, national, and international communities in service to humanity
